Notes from the Editor
As I sit on my patio, here at Elder Palms Sanctuary in Vista California, on a gorgeous spring afternoon, seedlings from the willow trees move and dance in mid air. The wind carries the seedlings to their new destination to begin life anew symbolic of planting seeds for new visions.
The seeds are from the Willow tree and in the Apache tradition Willow medicine is accessibility, a confirmation that we're back once again to serve communities. Just a few weeks ago, two ducks landed in the pool adjacent to the patio and on that day four of us were facilitating an event which coincided with the passing of two beloved people within our community. Duck medicine is emotional comfort. A Hawk flies by as I type this welcome letter...its medicine is messenger...
